Our Village Talk sessions are a great marketing opportunity for projects, whereas, for the community, it’s a great time to get some sweet alpha.
It was a busy week, as we held four Village Talk sessions, including the launch of our new Village Wonders AMA sessions:
DeSci AMA
We started the week with a DeSci AMA session featuring Frontier DAO, a platform set on a mission to fund research and innovation in science, fusion energy, engineering, and space exploration.
You can listen to the recording to learn about Frontier’s bold new ideas in scientific research and engineering innovation.
Expert Talks & Project Pitches
For last week’s Expert Talk session, we had NOWNodes, a platform that provides access to 50+ blockchain nodes and block explorers. join us to talk all about a “Node’s Role In Blockchains”.
Following this 30 minute conversation with NOWNodes, we had two projects take the stage for ten minutes each to pitch themselves to the community:
Dmail Network: “The fist decentralized mailbox that can be used as a DID for the web3 world” (like Gmail)
Fumigene: a curated NFT art & fashion gallery that offers new web3 experiences to collectors and brands
Village Wonders AMA
Last Thursday, we had our very first Village Wonders AMA session! This will be a continuing series, in which we will chat with the different projects across the Wonders program.
We had two projects join us for this first Wonders AMA:
Dayfi: an API that makes the metaverse affordable
Threely: “helping builders onboard billions of users to their dapps with familiar interfaces”
Catch the whole recording to learn about these two Village Wonders projects.
Grantee AMA
We closed the week out with a Grante AMA featuring Datamorpho, a new file standard and protocol. Not only is this project a previous Polygon DAO grantee, but also a Eth Global Mexico Hackathon finalist.

Polygon x Nubank
ICYMI, last week, Nubank announced their partnership with Polygon, in a move that will leverage Polygon Supernets to reward their loyal customers with Nucoins.
How Will Nubank Leverage Polygon Supernets
Nubank is the largest fin-tech institution in Latin America, with over 70M customers across Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia. Not only that, but they’re also backed by some of the biggest names in the space, including Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway, and SoftBank.
Last week, they announced that they will be leveraging Polygon Supernets in order to launch their own loyalty program, and ultimately reward their most loyal customers with Nucoins.
According to the Nubank team, they plan to airdrop the digital token to their customers over the first half of 2023. These tokens will serve as the basis for its customer’s loyalty program.
What are Polygon Supernets
In short, Polygon Supernets allow developers to launch their own dedicated blockchain, without the hassle of having to maintain the blockchain infrastructure themselves. As a developer, you have the option to choose between either a shared security chain, or an L2 chain that utilizes the power of zk-technology.
Over the past year, we have seen several established web2 brands join Polygon and web3, mainly through some sort of NFT endeavor, however, it’s amazing to see an established giant take full advantage of the power of web3 by launching their own dedicated supernet chain.
Throughout all of October & November, Nubank will be offering 2,000 of their most active community forum users the chance to take part in the co-creation of Nucoin.
You can read the official announcement here if you’re interested. For more information, make sure to head over to their Website or Twitter.
Each week, Polygon DAO spotlights a project and its journey into the Polygon Village.
Village Story #12 ~ Datamorpho
For today’s Village Story, we’re going to be taking a deep dive into Datamorpho. Not only is this project a previous Polygon DAO grantee, but also a recent ETHMexico finalist.
What is Datamorpho
Datamorpho is a dynamic file standard and protocol that leverages cryptography and IPFS to allow users to perform data metamorphosis on any file, also known as datamorphosis. With Datamorpho, any file/NFT has the capability to transform its data content according to certain triggers.
The example the Datamorpho team displayed at ETHMexico, was Trusted NFT Mints. So essentially, when a user mints an NFT they get a file in its pre-reveal state. In the backend, keys are generated and stored away. Then, when some trigger happens, as determined by the file creator (could be a date, time, etc.), the content within that file goes through datamorphosis. Of course, this idea can extend to gaming assets, secret messages, locations, and more.
So far, the team has only developed a proof of concept to show the protocol’s functionality, but now they will use their received grant support to expand this into a full-fledged dapp.
Make sure to follow them on Twitter to stay in the loop and find out when Datamorpho launches its protocol on mainnet.
